Ottawa incorporated in the 1850s, is not only the county seat of LaSalle County, but it is also the largest city in this territory with 18300 residents. The Ottawa-Streator micro area is the nest of this land home of more than 111000 people, neighbor of Lee, Marshall, Livingston, Woodford, and Kendall Counties, and formed back in the 1830s getting together puzzle pieces of Tazewell and Putnam Counties. The second largest county of Illinois is very well informed by its local newspaper, The Times; which could become the ideal tour for any tourist as well. |
