In Peoria metro area there is a very free and charming spirit born back in the late 1830s, nested adjacent to the southern territories of Putnam and Bureau Counties, located in the northern ear of Peoria and Woodford Counties and with a territory of almost 400 square miles of extension, you will find Marshall County. This lovely land was named for John Marshall, chief justice of the U.S.; today home of more than 13150 people residing in several communities such as Pattonsburg, Lacon, Toluca, Saratoga, La Rose, Whitefield, Evans, Leeds, and Hopewell. |
