| About the area |
Named after the Indian tribe called the Peorias, this community is located right in between the territories of Knox, Stark, Marshall, Woodford, Fulton, and Tazewell Counties. This land serves as residence for 182500 people (80% White, 16% African American, and 4% other races) spread all over the twenty townships, sixteen villages, and thirty unincorporated communities. Formed back in the middle 1820s, this land is home of the Glasfor crater made by a meteorite of 2.5 miles of diameter and hundreds of million years old. |
