About the area |
Greensburg's first building was jail built in 1823. Must have kept out the riff-raff so the community could prosper. The city is known as "tree city" due to the trees growing out of the Courthouse tower. The courthouse lawn is where the community defended itself against an attack by Morgan's Raiders during the Civil War. |
