About the area

Original inhabitants here were the Potawatomie Indians. The community is served by I 65 on the west, I 80/94 on the north and US 30 on the south. With just 25 sq. mi., it has 21 parks and a 250 acre lake for fishing an boating. The Model Boat Race is held on Lake George in September. There's a Food Jamboree on Main Street in June. Lakefront Festival in August has a Beer Garden, Dam Duck Race and Pig Roast among its activities.
