Bedford is known as the "Limestone Capital of the World". It's limestone is world renowned and is found in out Pentagon and Empire State Building and many other structures. An 800 ft. replica of the Great Wall of China was made out of this limestone. People do swim in the limestone quarries, but this is dangerous. |
