About the area

There is a campus of Allen Community College in Iola. The school offers Associate of Arts, Science, General Studies and Applied Science as well as career and technical education certificates to a variety of different students whether they are looking for new career paths, wishing to advance in their professions or entering into college for the first time. Their athletic program fields teams in several sports giving local residents an opportunity to see them in action. The city has recently constructed a modern water plant and a zero-entry swimming pool facility.
