About the area |
Each August is the time for the Atchison County Fair in Effingham. Starting off with a parade, the fair continues with animal judging, a Kiddee Pedal Tractor contest, a Barbeque cookoff, a Scarecrow contest and various other contests. There is nightly entertainment during this five day event and plenty of food.
