About the area

What a would a city named Columbus be without its annual Columbus Day Festival and Hot Air Balloon Regatta. This event, held in October, begins on a Friday night with a spectacular balloon glow. This is followed on the next two days by 3 baloon races. The balooons of every stripe and color are magnificent as they light up the sky on the first night. Although less spectacular there are other activities taking place at this festival such as a car show, a Tractor Pull, Trolley tours, a Gospel concert and other live entertainment and an antique tractor show.
