About the area |
If you enter the center of town at the insection of US 24 and SR 15, you can't help but notice the âThe Spirit of the Wild Things.â scuplture of natural geese. The Clay City Center zoo, which is rudimentary at best is located in a park across from the Clay Center Utility Company power plant which funds and runs the zoo. The Clay Center Community Chamber Orchestra, which performs without a conductor, gives concerts throughout North Central Kansas. Its members come from rural, small town, and large city populations of North Central Kansas and its makeup is intergenerational; senior citizens, young adults and youth all play together. |
