The town lies in two counties; North of Parallel street (SR 9) is Washington County and South of Parallel street is Clay County. The LCL Buffalo Ranch where over 200 buffalo roam is also the site of the Heartland museum which has a large collection of antique vehicles and memorabilia. The city's Berner Memorial Park has ball fields, a tennis court and basketball courts, the city swimming pool, kiddie park, shelter houses with picnic tables, and more than 50 camping hook-ups. As you enterr the center of the park you will see the War Memorial Markers and Eternal Flame dedicated to those whohave given their lives for their country.
