US 160 and US 183 183 runs together through Coldwater, but then US 160 takes a sharp turn to the East just North of town.

About the area

Around 1884 you might have been one of the men who had a dream to start a county seat town and locate it near the center of Comanche County. These men actually missed the center by about a mile but established the town site anyway, surveying it and leaving the land around the town for settlers. Today there is a population of under 750 and there has been a decline since 2000. The city has several parks and the largest of these has the municipal swimming pool and its old shade trees provide plenty of areas for an afternoon picnic. Other parks are equipped with basketball and tennis courts. The Comanche County museum is located here and its entrance is graced by a mural which depicts the farming heritage of the area.
