About the area |
Two years before they founded Udall around 1881, two settlers purchased a ten acre site in the area from its original owner aware that the rairoad would soon be coming to that site. In May 1955 disaster struck Udall when the deadliest tornado to ever touch Kansas came through town, completely leveling the town killing 83 residents and injuring 270. What buildings and homes were not detroyed were unsafe and unlivable. However Udall rebuilt and lives on today. |
