About the area |
The Cedar Bluff Reservoir, developed in 1949 and 1950, is the centerpiece of Cedar Bluff State Park. Shortly after its completion it became a popular recreational spot which led to its eventual development as a recreational area with facilities and activities. There are two main areas in this park. The Bluffton Area, on the north shore, which is almost 350 acres in size, has boatramp facilities, utility campsites, community shelters, a reservable group utility campground, large showerhouses and dumpstations, modern rental cabins and many undesignated primitive campsites and picnic areas. For those who like to rough it; there is the Page Creek Area, on the south shore of the reservoir, with almost 500 acres which has some of the best primitive camping in the state with its large shade trees and sandy shorelines. It is configured with utility campsites, a community shelter, dumpstations, boatramp facilities, showerhouses and vault toilets; designated primitive campground and manyundesignated campsites. is nearly in size.
