Horse lovers and animal fans in general will probably enjoy a visit to Blue Sky Miniature Show Horse farm where tours are available and you can take a horse cart ride. Or you might enjoy a visit to the Fairview Farms alpaca ranch where you can see an actual working alpaca ranch including the pens, barns, feeding areas, stalls and some of the various equipment used in raising and training alpacas. During June, July and August the Mid America Rodeo Company puts on a Summertime Rodeo series weekday evenings which feature bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, and a youth event. The Hays Symphony Orchestra, a college and community orchestra is made up of Fort Hays State university students, faculty and community members and presents concerts during the Winter and early Spring. |
