The old courthouse houses the Horace Greeley museum named for the famous publisher of the New York Tribune who championed the cause for Kansas' entry into the Union as a free state. The Tribune Municipal Airport is located to the South of town. The Greeley County Fair takes place each August at the County fairgrounds. The fair features 4-H and open exhibits, hometown carnival, free barbeque, antique tractor pull, antique threshing,powder puff tractor pull, pedal tractor pull, 4-H foods and livestock auctions, and mud drags.
