The Holton Municipal Swimming Pool is a great source of pride for the town of Holton. This pool located in Rafter's Park was reconstructed in the late 1980's, from a pool originally constructed under the WPA program in the late 1930's, maintaining the original WPA rock buildings. The city operates and maintains several parks which provide a variety of outdoor recreational activities for its citizens. Countryside Park, Chandler Park, Linscott Park and Rafter's Park in combination have facilities for soccer, football, baseball, softball, tennis courts, horse shoe pits, children's playground, sand volleyball, swimming and fishing. Searles Park is centered around a beautiful burr oak tree with a crown spread of over 90 feet. This tree is said to be over 200 years old.
