The annual Threshing Bee Show in September all started when a local man invited people out to his home to demonstrate how farm equipment worked and served them food as well. The Bee is intended to show the culture of pioneer days by demonstrating the art of planting, harvesting, threshing and storing of grain forage crops, along with the domestic arts, and the tools, implements, instruments and operating farm machinery. There are reenactments with the working machinery.
