How many museums do you know that manage a soda fountain as part of the museum . Well, the Kiowa County Museum & Soda Fountain is one. The museum has a small movie theatre and exhibits telling the story of the people and places that have made up the history of Kiowa County. After the tornado of 2007 passed through Greensburg, the only part of the Hunter Drug store still standing was its 40 gallon Michigan-style soda fountain. The fountain was donated to the Kiowa County Historical Society. After its restoration was completed in Chicago by the company that originally built it years ago; it was installed as a living history exhibit in the Kiowa County Commons Building, where it is enjoyed by new generations as well as devoted pre-tornado patrons. fountain’s , being
