US 75 separates the Eastern third of the town from the rest of the town and will get you to most East/West streets in town.

About the area

Caney lies just above the border with Oklahoma. Osage Indians were early visitors to the area, camping along the Little Cane River. Caney got its start as trading post along the border. When the Denver, Memphis and Atlantic Railroad came into town around 1885 it really started to grow although 15 years before that the Post Office was established in Caney and shortly thereafter the Little White Schoolhouse had its first students.
