About the area |
At Rock city you can see close to 200 huge sandstone concretions sitting in an area roughly the size of two footbal fields. Some of these rocks are as large as houses. The interesting thing about the Ottawa County museum exhibits is that many of the artifacts on display are next to magazine articles or other labels with details of what they were or how they were used. There are also exhibits in this museum about George Washington Carver, who lived in Minneapolis for several years as a boy. |
