Nickerson has only only one city park; but there is plenty to do there for everyone. The park has barbeques, water, a sheltered picnic area, playground, basketball court, a large field and is across the street from the baseball diamonds. The Nickerson Chamber of Commerce is responsible for the weekend full of events which take place at Klear Nearly Days every Summer. The fair starts with a community dinner on Friday evening, followed by entertainment and a family movie. On Saturday there is a pancake breakfast, followed by a parade. As Saturday draws to a close there is live music and a street dance .
