About the area

Come to the Rooks County Free Fair, held during the second week in August and you will be at one of the oldest and largest free fairs in Kansas. In addition to agricultural, commercial, and open class exhibits there is nightly entertainment that with musical artists, car and motorcycle races, demolition derby and a carnival on the midway. The Nova theater which was severely damaged after a tornado has recently been restored and shows live productions and movie presentations.
