Although Colwich would seem to be a small, isolated town; the Kansas Oklahoma Railroad intersects Colwich with SR 96, Highway 400, with US 135 and the Kansas Turnpike. In other words Colwich is accessible to all major transit systems surrounding the region. Here winter wheat is the major crop and during harvest time in late June, stay away from the downtown area; it's clogged with farm trucks filled with wheat.
