Smith Center District Court is the Seventeenth District Court of Smith County in the judicial district court system of Kansas.
About the area
The Ingleboro Mansion was built by the founder of the First National Bank of Smith Center around 1889 and took its name from the family name of his third wife, Ingalls. This was a magnificent homesite, which with its grounds covered a city block, including a private park complete with deer, a stream, peacocks and a gazebo. Although it went through several transitions from a hospital, to a nusing home, to a restaurant and bed and breakfast; its present owners maintain it as their residence. It still displays the grandeur of its Victorian decor with converted carbide and kerosene lights, imported stained glass windows, cherry, oak and maple woodwork and bay windows. The entryway, staircase and elaborate oak and cherry fireplaces that display the original tile work are worth seeing.

Magistrate Judge Hon. Michael Kirchhoff
