About the area

This town has not just one speedway but two. The WaKeeney Mini-Speedway holds Go-Kart races on a clay oval track, with as many as 14 races from April through October featuring 8 different classifications. Here's the best thing; admission is free. The WaKeeney Speedway is a 3/8 mile clay oval track and holds approximately ten races, featuring IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and IMCA Northern Sport Mods classes, from April through September. There are also special races which feature the United Rebel Sprint Series 305 Sprints and you can expect to see the best sprint car drivers from the Midwest.
