At the Southern end of town SR 99 is an East-West road, then as it passes through town, on Missouri street, it runs North-South but tirns to the East at 7th street. |

About the area |
With good reason the city is sometimes known as "City of Native Stone"; since there quite a few houses and buildings of stone. If you want to visit them, they are within walking distance of each other. Stop in one of them, Alma Antiques, and you will be in a building built in the late 1800's which originally housed a book store. Notice the memorabilia from the past in this store. Another of these buildings, the Sage/Laverty Residence, is of huge blocks of Limestone put in place by hand with heavy ropes. |
