About the area |
You can see the best in 4-H and open class exhibits at the Wichita County fair during the first week in August. There is also rodeos, dances, free barbeque, antique tractor pull, parade, turtle race, kiddie games and the carnival which is community owned. There is plenty of bird hunting available in the area. The Museum of the Great Plains has some nice exhibits representing a school house, an 1893 post office, a general store, a millinery shop and a bank to provide and idea of life in the past and the pioneer heritage of the area. |
