About the area |
Cross Timbers State Park covers over 1,000 acres and has a lake within. All of the campgrounds here have modern bathroom and shower facilities. Fishermen can look forward to catching white crappie, white bass, channel catfish, flathead catfish black bass, bluegill and sunfish. There is a wildlife area adjacent to the park with close 4,600 acres which includes forests, grasslands, farmlands, and marshes; habitats which are attractive to white-tailed deer, wild turkey, quail, squirrel, rabbit, dove, raccoon and a variety of songbirds.
