The Battle of Blue Licks in 1782 took place along the Licking River in this city. It was one of the most revolutionary wars that was fought. Even Davidâs Booneâs youngest son died in the battle along with the others. The civil war field is a strong reminder of what war and hurt can do to the civilized society.
