Served by Colfax as its parish seat, this fast growing community founded in the 1860s is framed by Winn, La Salle, Rapides, and Natchitoches Parishes. Connected by many highways including US Highway 71 and US Highway 167, this parish is divided in five towns and cities: Colfax, Dry Prong, Georgetown, Pollock, and Montgomery. Home of Kisatchie National Forest, this territory of 665 square miles of extension has many notable locations that you should not miss such as Camp Windywood, Clear Creek Campground, Church of God State Camp, Catahoula Work Center, Thompson Ferry, Hebron Church, Stuart Lake Recreation Site, and Catahoula National Wildlife Management Area.
