Mount Grey Lock is a widely popular spot to hike and camp on. This area is one of the highest points in the Berkshires. Here you can views from the Taconic, Hoosac, Green Mountains, and other spots around the area. The top of the mountain has many old trees dating back 150 years. Red Spruce are the oldest and there are several other types to be looked at and identified. The spruce area is called a boreal. Many people visit the forest every and take in the rich beauty that the mountain gives. This is a major vacation destination as many visitors come to view Mount Grey Lock.
