Plymouth is a very historic area (as opposed to the rest of the world, of course). In the early 1600s the Pilgrims landed to begin a new religious life. After leaving England and Holland they wanted to practice their way of worshipping and sought after this in the colonies. Plymouth depicts this landing with a boat and historic reenactment. The town also has several souvenir shops, shopping areas, tourist attractions, as well as churches, schools, and businesses. Plymouth is right on the ocean and is a great place for a vacation. Along with the rich history there is also fine dining, hotels, and area plays.
