People in Houlton are lucky to have the lovely Meduxnekeag river running through the city. If you are downtown; visit beautiful Market square where you will find a number of great dining spots and lots of shops. A must see and hear is McGill’s Community Band which performs at the Houlton Houlton Amphitheater in Monument Park from mid June through mid August and in the July 4th parade. The annual MooseStompers weekend, in Febrary, features an Ice Fishing derby, Snowmobiles parade, Horse Drawn Sleigh rides, Sliding race, Hockey games and a Baked Bean supper.
