About the area

When in town go visit several of the historic house located here especially the Hiram Ramsdell House, also known as the Octagon House built in the 1860's and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. For those of you who don't know an octagonal house is characterised by an octagonal (eight-sided) plan, and often features a flat roof and a veranda all round. Also be sure to visit the Titcomb House, built in the 1840's which is the home of the Farmington Historical Society and houses its collection of artifacts.
