Lincoln being a small town, there are few major roads running through it; but you should be particularly careful not to violate the Traffic codes when riding on US 2, SR 6 or SR 155. |

Lincoln is not a big town as population goes but it does occupy over 70 square miles of land water area. It is surrounded by a bunch of ponds (about 13 or 14 depending on who you talk to) and the Penobscot river. Some of these are Mattanawcook pond, Stump pond, Center pond and Crooked pond. With all that water around the drinking water supply is one of the purest in the nation. The annual Homecoming festival in July usually features a Northwest mystery performer with a parade, fireworks and the annual Riverdriver’s dinner as well. From the beginning of June to early September bring your chairs and blankets to the town gazebo on Friday nights to enjoy the Summer concert series. |
