The limestone court house that was built in 1899 stands like the façade of the city. The city retains much of its historic look without any modern additions. It is not only the court house but the several houses and historic markets spread out around the court house. In the 18th century Cassopolis was much smaller city with very few people. However it was home to the wealthy few back then. You can see a lot of Greek revival constructions here. |
