You might to call this court by its official name; the Becker County District Court . Us Hway 10 cuts the city in half and meets with US Hway 59 at the Western edge of town. |

Fishing, boating, canoeing, swimming, sailing, and water skiing facilities are available to one and all on Detroit lake. This lake also has a mile long sandy beach. During the Winter recreational opportunities are availabe for ice fishing, curling, downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling over sixty miles of groomed trails and skating at outdoor rinks and at the ice arena. At the Becker County History Museum exhibits including a Native American Wigwam, a logging camp Wannigan, a 1870's log cabin take the visitor back into the history of the area.The Detroit Lakes / Becker County Airport is located 2 miles west of Detroit Lakes and has runways over 4500 feet in length and over 1900 feet in length to service General aviation and private aircraft. Unique among airports it has a Float plane docking area on Long Lake.
