The area around Grand Rapids has some really huge lakes. No doubt great for boating and fishing. Plenty of room in this city with approximately 8200 people spread out over about 7 ½ square miles. I Itasca Community CollegeItasca Communiy college is located here and with more than 1,200 students and a faculty of 40 provides customized training, a downtown state of the art computer lab, community education courses, College For Kids, and SeniorNet. The largest employer here is UPM Blandin Paper Company whose large paper mill takes advantage of the county, state, national and private forests located within Itasca County. |
