You might wonder why a city called Ivanhoe named from the novel of knighthood and chivalry, by the British author, Sir Walter Scott holds an annual Polska Kielbasa Days celebration during the first full weekend of August. This city of approximately 700 residents has roots which trace back to Polish settlers to the area. This town celebration has softball and volleyball tournaments, food, crafts, and entertainment and a Sunday parade. This city has wonderful Beautiful English gardens and a Historic county courthouse which is on the National Register of Historic Places. |
