If you want to know thew official name of the Mille Lacs County Court it is the Mille Lacs County District Court. US Hway 169 zips by to the East of Mille Lacs and State Road 23, which runs through the Southern third of town , meets it in the East.

About the area

Milaca located along the Rum River; was first developed by lumber companies and originally called Oak City. In eight years the population of Milaca has grown by approximately 300. There isn't much of large industry in the town, with the Public school district being the largest employer. The biggest thing to hit the city lately is the increase in the water and sewer rates. But they are a feisty lot in this town; recently an infiltrator at a Milaca TEA Party Patriots meeting struck a women tea partier and a local homeowner, whose house was on fire, caused so much interference with firefighters that he was arrested.
