Kirksville Circuit Court is the circuit court of Adair County in the Second Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system. Hearings for city ordinance and traffic violations occurring in the city of Novinger are held in the associate division of this court.

About the area

If you wanted to see some of the older buildings in town you could take a stroll around town and visit the following: Travelers hotel, the Journal building, Spencer/Selby house, the Courthouse Square Historic district, the Adair County courthouse, the Masonic temple and the Trinity Episcopal church. There are two colleges in this town. Young people here do not have to go too far if they want to earn D.O degrees, they can apply to the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, founded around 1892 when it was the first institution of osteopathic education in the world. Truman State University is a public Liberal Arts and Sciences university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in many fields for those who dream of other careers than Osteopathy.
