About the area |
Thanks to the Missouri Department of Conservation, there are a bunch of facilities around Rich Hill for hunting, fishing and boating. Duck hunters from all over the United States come to the the August Busch Jr. Memorial Wetlands at Four Rivers. The McGennis Agricultural Youth center, located a short distance to the Southwest of Rich Hill, presents two special summer events. In the middle of August there is a three night production of a comedy play presented by the "Old Barn Theater Under the Stars" with a cast of local talent. The final night is best with a carry-in picnic dinner just before the play. On the last Sunday in September the center holds a Barbeque and Benefit Auction. The community of Old Order Mennonites, in this town, hold a weekday market open to the public at which they sell their produce, home made jams and jellies and wood products. |
