About the area
Hamilton was the boyhood home town of James Cash Penney, the founder of the store chain which bears his name. There is a museum here dedicated to him with all kinds of displays including a wax dummy of Penney. There's also Penney's Masonic sword, photos of his pedigreed livestock, display cases filled with J.C. Penney sales literature, Penney's first and last desks and his last office chair. J.C. Penney's boyhood home was saved from razing and moved to the center of Hamilton on the site of the former railroad depot. Although no effort has been made to restore the inside of the home; its outside has been restored.
Judges
Hon. Jason Kanoy. This judge also serves in Braymer municipal court.
