Harrisonville Circuit Court is the circuit court of Cass County in the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system. Hearings for city ordinance and traffic violations in the cities of Archie (US 71 and SR A), Cleveland (SR D and SR Y), Creighton (SR 7 and SR B), Drexel (SR 18 and SR A), Freeman (SR 2, SR O and SR W) and Strasburg (SR 58 and SR E) are held in the Municipal division of this court.

The city's two swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, are located at the community center. The center also has cardio, free weight and resistance weight lifting equipment, locker rooms, showers, an aerobics studio, gymnasium and indoor walking track. The city also has a Skeet and Trap range. Lake Harrisonville is a great place to engage in boating, fishing or duck hunting. Boating and fishing on this lake both require registration and duck blinds are available through a drawing each year.
