Harrisonville is probably the most affordable place in Missouri with a variety of housing for every income level, one of the lowest tax levies (sales and property taxes) and utility rates. City park is Harrisonville's largest park covering over 270 acres. Besides the community center which sits alongside the park and whose outdoor pool is in the park, there are two lakes, two ponds, nine shelters, an amphitheater and tennis courts, paintball field, basketball court, gazebo, tree nursery, playground equipment, and approximately 4 miles of hiking and fitness trails in this park. The park is also the site of Camp Reeder an area with nature trails and a covered shelter with picnic tables. A nine hole Sand Green golf course is located at the Harrisonville Golf club North park is another large park in the city with baseball/softball fields ( some of which are illuminated), soccer fields, a football field, large concession stands with restroom facilities, playground equipment, a Rodeo arena, pole barns and
an activity building with kitchen amenities.
