About the area

With approximately 25,000 acres of water Stockton lake, at the edge of Stockton, is the perfect place for sailing. While you are on the water here, look along the shoreline for some of the wildlife that appears now and then such as deer, turkeys and geese and its not unusual to see a bald eagle. The annual Governors Cup Regatta is held on this lake in late September. If you want some hot stuff, be sure to attend the Stockton Lake Annual Chile Cook-off at the Ray Zumwalt Expo Center in early November.
