About the area |
Who isn't in love with mules? Certainly not anyone who comes to the annual Clark County Mule festival in September. Would you believe that there are many mule owners; come see the hundreds of such owners and their mules at this festival and they don't just come from Missouri. There is even a competition in Mule polo. Attendees often come in campers and some in wagon trains to enjoy the handmade crafts, an art show, a variety of foods, trail rides, a mule rodeo and events or to just visit with each other. Some owners usually elect to join the trail ride and others take part in the Grand Entry led by the Clark County R-1 Marching band. The vendors at the Commercial Building and Midway are ready to sell you crafts and handmade items, clothing, trailers, and equine care items as well as burgers, fried fish, funnel cakes, smoothies, tacos, honey, baked goods and many other foods. |
