The North Kansas City community center has plenty of things to do in it. It has a large gym with basketball courts and a rock climbing wall. There is also a swimming pool and a fitness room. Classes are held in such fitness programs as Yoga and Tai-Chi. The city has two nice parks. Macken park covering close to 60 acres has large park shelters, baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball courts, an asphalt walking trail, a mile roller-blading trail and playgrounds. Dagg park is intended for family gatherings and passive activities with its wading pool, playground, fountains with bench seating areas and picnic shelters.
