About the area

Buckner is sometimes known as the "Little Village in the Valley". Its Heisler park has a walking track, pavilion and plenty of open space for picnicking. In October the tractors weighing 4500 pounds and with 400 horsepower take part in the annual Buckner Tractor Pull. There are also competitions open to 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive gas and diesel semi trucks. Also in October the city has its Quilt Show competition.
